skookeys is ran by nod, artist busybody. You didn't hear it from me but total scrap and junk lover. Find skookeys on other socials @skookeys

Where do you get your material?

skookeys is all about sustainability so means pre-loved, used, or craftily hoarded materials are used first before anything buying new. Even sourcing material starts with the mindset of re-imagining materials already in the worldSome sources are: thrift stores, estate sales, yard sales, and outlets.

Additional sources of content tends to come from nod's own art, nod's collection of actual items and trinkets (free will is a working scanner), and public domain images.Never will skookeys support or promote the use of artificial or generated images.

What is in the blind bags?

While the exact materials in each bag are a surprise for each person who buys but in general there are:

  • Paper types; including but not limited to: magazines, newspaper, photographs, cutouts, glitter, textured, collaged, test prints, art swatches, hand decorated (with watercolor, markers, paint, crayons, etc) stickers, cut outs, die cuts, etc.

  • Themes include Los Angeles County, nostaglia, vintage imagery, etc.
